Quite interesting considering recent discussions on here about our D men! |

Sorry you disagree Heather, but I stand by what I said. Defensively, we were found wanting last night. Had it not been for some terriific saves by Matty C, the damage could have been far greater. Not wishing to decry Dan Scott's efforts, everybody around me thought that our netminder had walked off with our MoM award, despite shipping 6 goals, 4 which were powerplay goals.
Positive a lot of the guys would like to have that game back again!
Scant return for the travelling fans who made some terrific noise for the Raiders last night! But hey, there is always our next game....... |

Some brilliant match photos, including both fights can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/lewisacleveland/sets/72157623367997294/
As posted on THF.
There is a funny photo just after Kev Tanners fight and it looks like Ross is at an impossible angle to stay upright. _________________ Make some noise for the Wightlink boys! |

I think you misunderstand me robbiesdad. I wasn't disagreeing with you at all. In fact I wasn't expressing an opinion other than that I thought it was an interesting comment particularly in light of a recent discussion on here about the role of our D men. It was in a thread entitled "New Signing ???" a couple of weeks ago. |

As I understand from reports that again we have got into fights and have had a lot of pens and lost are cool which cost us dear. Raiders have been playing well as late this is because we played hockey and not got involved in fights we kept players on the ice. This is the key to having a good go in the playoffs let the ref deal the big problems. We need every player to play hockey and keep there cool. Fights will not win us hockey matches.

| Giving up 4 powerplay goals is not good but you say about losing our cool etc they had more penalty minutes than us...... so that would suggest more of a problem with our special teams on saturday rather than losing our cool etc etc |
